Client Advocacy:

At the Sexual Assault Center, we have a Victim Advocate who is able to meet with all clients in need of advocacy services. Because each of our clients has been the victim of a crime and many are involved in legal matters, we offer advocacy services as part of the healing process in order to make involvement in the legal proceedings more positive and to offer our clients access to as many support programs as possible.

All clients are offered the opportunity to meet with the Victim Advocate to receive information and assistance in filing for Criminal Injuries Compensation: http://www.state.tn.us/treasury/injury/index.html, to receive assistance with legal matters, or to gain help and support when they feel that their rights are not being upheld as crime victims. Our Victim Advocate also connects clients to other beneficial community resources as needed.
