Church Volunteer Gets 15 Years for Sex Abuse of Boys
SAC clients and therapist were involved in this Grand Jury Trial to convict a church volunteer, 24-year-old Matthew Jernigan, of sexually abusing two boys. In this case, justice prevailed, and Jernigan will be in prison for the next 15 years. Grand Jury cases are especially difficult for children and their families. Now, the case isover, and the boys can continue to heal from the trauma. Read the associated article here.

Raquel Bueno is a board member of the Sexual Assault Center, and she also happens to be a yoga instructor. Earlier this summer, she combined her skills and passion to create a unique format for helping victims of sexual assault.
